For this blog post I wanted to go a little more in-depth about A&W’s beef and how much safer it is to eat then other fast food places. I will be referencing to their site for this information.

Do you give your cattle antibiotics?

Our ranchers only use antibiotics when medically necessary to ensure the health of the animal, in the same way that most doctors recommend the use of antibiotics for people.

This references back to what I’ve said in my previous post, that they do not use an antibiotics unless required medically, which I so admire.

What does your “100% Pure Beef Guarantee” really mean?

Our 100% Pure Beef Guarantee means that all of our beef is raised without any artificial hormones or steroids. We use only 100% beef for our patties and add absolutely nothing else. No additives. No preservatives. Just beef.

I believe this is what makes their burgers so delicious, it’s just beef.

If you don’t know what Marble Slab is then you’re missing out on something historic. Marble Slab is an ice cream joint with two locations around Kitchener-Waterloo area. They have the best ice cream I’ve personally every had and the system to create your own ice cream brings out anyone’s creativity.

Now I’m not one to go out for ice cream a lot, in fact most of you should know that I only have one cheat meal a week. But if I could eat this everyday I would. their ice cream is made to have a dough like consistency, allowing them to mix the ice cream with ANY amount of toppings you choose. That’s the beauty of this place, you can have as many toppings as you want. If you want an extremely unhealthy dessert option for your next weekend cheat meal, try this place out!

For this blog post I will be talking about why A&W is one of my favourite places to eat. A&W has a wide variety of options to choose from their menu. One thing I really like about their menu is that a lot of the burgers are named after family members. Although as I said, I like that aspect of their menu, my favourite burger is actually the Mozza Burger. It’s my favourite because it’s just so damn delicious. Everything about the Mozza burger, the mozza cheese, the sauce and the fresh beef patty, is so good. I highly recommend it.

Here’s the one thing that I really admire about the company. When I say fresh meat, I mean not only that it’s kept fresh but it’s also raised without any hormones or antibiotics. And that’s why I think the company itself is immensely underrated. I think that if more fast food companies did this, the meat that we consume would be a lot safer and wouldn’t cause hormone imbalance in a lot of kids. Check out A&W, they’re one of my favourites!
